Skyviews utilizes the latest in both film and digital image
capture for our aerial photographs. Our cameras offer the most advanced technology in the industry today. Skyviews uses the
Canon 1DS MK2 digital camera, a camera capable of rendering a 48-megabyte file.
Skyviews still shoots many of its aerial photography assignments on medium-format negative film. Using the workhorse
of the industry, our Pentax 6x7, and scanning on our Imacon Flextight drum scanner, we can produce files in excess of 200
megabytes, which are capable of creating stunning, wall-sized aerial photograph murals.
All cameras are gyro stabilized by a Kenlab KS-6 gyro. Skyviews also chooses the shooting platform based on a variety
of criteria. We typically employ Cessna 172s or Cessna 182s, as well as Switzer 300s or Bell Jet Ranger helicopters for very
critical work. If the need arises, we have access to a Lear 25 for high-altitude vertical photography (typically above 4,000
scale) or a specially equipped Baron for general vertical mapping.
Working with our graphic designers, Skyviews can create a full marketing campaign and produce PDF brochures or 25-25,000
plus printed brochures for a direct mail program. If you are looking for public offering memorandums, Skyviews has partnered
with many of New York's finest commercial real estate graphics firms.
